Madison Crawl

Twilight At The Zoo (live)

Calling Clevelands, The Madison Crawl a revival band would be a gross understatement considering that swing, bop and jump blues have never died to singer, bassist and founder Chris Stovicek. But theyre more than just that; theyre a band that elicits feelings of nostalgia with Stoviceks soulful and whiskey-soaked vocals that at times are reminiscent of both Tom Waits and Screaming Jay Hawkins sharing a cigar and a beer. But its the tube driven grooves of his band that tie The Madison Crawl together. Brilliantly paired guitarists that complement each others playing with elements of surf, jazz and blues. The reverb switch certainly works here and tastefully so. But its not only the guitar playing thats impressive, The Madison Crawls horn section regularly pulls off soaring solos and deep bellowing grooves that if you close your eyes, youd swear you were in a dark smoky bar. But when the harmonica comes in, your eyes open and your right back at your favorite honky tonk toes tapping and smile from ear to ear. The Madison Crawl have spent the better part of 20 years getting comfortable in venues ranging from arenas to festivals and dive bars, rarely leaving their audience sitting down and always wanting more. It simply isnt possible to not have a toe tapping good time with The Madison Crawl. with Twilight at the Zoo, Rotten Records have captured the live vibe of The Madison Crawl. The double album was recorded live at the Cleveland Zoo in the summer of 2022. Now you can get your fix between live shows and always be ready to party.
