Roulin, Arnaud
Voyage Pentatonique
Following his debut album, Massage For Piano, Arnaud Roulin returns with Voyage Pentatonique, a cosmic chamber work for piano and "synth-phonic" orchestra. At the crossroads of jazz, classical, and atmospheric music, this album offers a contemplative, easy-listening experience. Conceived in the studio with producer Thomas de Pourquery and Nicolas Villebrun, the project explores the interplay between piano and a synthesizer orchestra within a pentatonic framework. Blending precise composition with improvisation, the work draws inspiration from Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, and the symphonies of Bruckner and Mahler. It is a celebration of the unknown, chance, and humanity.
