Rasta Knast
Die Katze Beisst In Draht
Rasta Knast started in 1997 and made their debut "Legal kriminal" the following year, all heavily inspired by classic Scandinavian and Swedish punk of the 1980s. In 1999, the groundbreaking second album "The Cat Bites In Wire" was released. The "cat" was recognized as an essential for a generation of kid punks and even in Brazil with its own pressing. In 2010 Destiny Records breathed new life into the album on CD, it was sold out on vinyl for far too long and is now finally coming back: 11 songs that still fit seamlessly today and have easily passed the "taste of time". Hyper-melodic, anthemic, catchy and yet snotty German punk, which repeatedly remembers its roots from Asta Kask to Radioaktiva Rker and thus receives its very own note. Miles away from the Ufta-Ufta-German punk of the nineties and to this day a band that has never strayed from their path.
