Point Mort's music is usually defined by a constant interplay between darkness and lightharsh themes balanced by moments of calm and brightness. Their new album, "Le point de non-retour", breaks away from that pattern. It is an introspective and somber work that offers no comfort, only a bitter reflection on existence. Musically, while still instinctive and emotionally intense, the band pushes further, incorporating elements from pop, electro, and rap. The production is more refined, with new sonic explorations including folk guitar, rap-style phrasing, expanded use of synthesizers, and, for the first time, a fully electronic track created without acoustic instruments.
