A diverse range of original compositions, ranging from tango-esque waltz melodies to African voodoo blues, flamenco-esque shakti rhythms and meditative minimal music, imaginary soundtracks and invented folklore set to danceable grooves... Modern accordion playing that embraces both complex rhythms and jazzy arrangements. In her original compositions, the accordionist draws heavily on the blues of sun-drenched regions - alongside stylistically uncategorisable forms - which she takes up, blends and subverts. Her inspirations range from Brazilian, Latin and Afro grooves, through blues waltzes, to tango-esque influences in 5/4 and 7/8 time. A colourful and varied style of music, ranging from groovy to gently melancholic, with a warm, southern feel.
