« "Music that doesn't come as a continual contrast, with nuances of silence, is nothing more than more-or-less-well orchestrated noise. Music must contain silence, never let itself be forgotten and, above all, never have any regrets." Those words by poet Pierre Reverdy on the subject of music were probably uppermost in my mind for nearly every moment I spent composing the tunes that make up this third album, a record I decided to call "Humanidade", the Portuguese word for Humanity. So it's filled with highly contrasted feelings that my music attempts to translate while heeding the architecture of the tunes in all their melodic, harmonic and rhythmical essences." » Patrick Favre
