Recorded at home [the EMB in Sannois, the Burguière brothers favourite venue] in an intimate setting with an audience limited to two hundred people, "Avril et vous" fulfils the desire to leave a record of another facet of the Ogres work. Concert, the album recorded with La Fanfare du Belgistan, reflected the image of a group capable of energising any audience with a repertoire bursting with energy, highly festive musically and fundamentally rock in interpretation. But the Ogres are just as capable of chiselling, as perfect jewellers of song, pearls of a sensitivity that would make many of their congeners swoon. This album is a reminder to those who might have tended to forget.
