A collection of pictures from the hardcore scene in the nineties capturing the essence of an era that was an exceptionally special time and place to be a part of. Incredible music and a unique subculture before the internet changed it all. An era of hand-written letters, arduous journeys, and no responsibilities. When life was about couch surfing, thrift-store shopping, and too many long-distance relationships. A time of mostly no cell phones and definitely no cell-phone cameras. "I hope that my pictures from the nineties have helped to capture and archive a period of time that will be of interest to more than those of us who were there. The way pictures of mods in the 1960s or punks in the 1970s are fascinating. That the 1990s, although they feel like they were just a few years ago, will be a decade people will look back on with interest and curiosity when looking at subcultures. Of course, if you were a part of it then you know that it truly was special.
