Malevolent
Malevolent, started in 2022 as the brainchild of Belgian composer/musician, Nikolaas Van Riet, trying to merge the early days of symphonic and gothic metal, with a new modern, heavily cinematic inspired sound. Together with singer Celica Soldream, who has a warm and powerful voice, strong technical capabilities, and a Celtic/Medieval touch, he finalized the songs. The combination of these two musical minds, backed by some experienced studio musicians like Koen Herfst (Epica, Vandenberg) and Mark Jansen (Epica), went to work with a the industry leading producer Joost Vandenbroek (Powerwolf, Ayreon,.). This strong combo led to the creation of the Malevolent debut EP.
