Debut by Superpunk-successors. Superpunk has just announced their end, and already small sprouts are growing on their grave. Two out of the Superpunk crew - singer/guitarist Carsten Friedrichs and bass player Tim Juergens - have recruited new combatants (e.g. Ex-Blumfeld Andre Rattay and Tapete-label-boss Gunther Buskies) and together they are the Liga der Gewoehnlichen Gentlemen (the League of Ordinary Gentlemen). Lyrics and music havent changed all that much, thank god! What a swinging and nonchalant sound reminding of Herb Alpert, Jonathan Richman, Hugo Montenegro and the Four Tops.
