The instruments of the violin family, designed to sing, combine to enrich their harmonies. Although Bach suggested harmonies without double notes, combining a violin with other instruments amplifies its possibilities. This album showcases a violin-cello duo, with sounds ranging from the bass to the treble. The collaboration between these two musicians creates a unique harmony, akin to that of a brother and sister. The selected works, composed in the 20th century by three composers with diverse sensibilities, perfectly illustrate the interplay between the violin and the cello.
