World Musette

Catching world music of the 80's and 90's on the wrong foot, not to mention its pop crossovers, the `Primitifs du Futur' decided to do things the other way and feature some real values: the earthy odour of background roots_ In World Musette, the third album by the `Primitifs du Futur', accordions, ouds, violins, banjos and ukuleles can be heard in tune with the odd Chinese Waltz or Musette Fox-Trot. This collective adventure led by Dominique Cravic brings musicians and connoisseur-collectors together around the same passion, with just one aim _ to restore the music's prestige _ but the result is slightly different: the album World Musette is a new Golden Age for the musette genre.
