Plenty Of Love

Johnny Jubilee hails from Jamaica, in the Parish of St.Thomas and is the brother of Tony Mahoney of The Blackstones. He's also known as Johnny Mahoney. He moved to the UK in the late 1960's. In 1970 he worked with Winston Curtis and Les Cliff of Saturn Record Co. In 1974 he made a song that went #9 on the British Reggae chart, a song produced by Winston Curtis. The A side was Little Girl and the B side title was "Second Cut" (as Johnny Mahoney). At one time he was named 'The Shuffler' he says I am no longer shuffling, but I am still playing my guitar and writing songs. With some vocals, but mainly DJ tracks to date, he has been likened to the late great I Roy!. Also he has worked alongside The Blackstones at Studio 1 on a song called Satamasa Gorno. Big up the Black Stones crew! This 4 track CDEP features versions of the track "Plenty of Love". Vocal Vs, Inst Vs, Dub Vs 1 and Dub Vs 2. All Horns by Alvin Davis. The EP precedes a full album recorded for Iron Sound Records and produced by Alien Dread. The EP tracks were voiced in Jamaica and completed in the UK at PPD Studio (Lindel Lewis/Leon Leiffer) and AD Studio (Alien Dread).
