Led by Max Havler (ex-OPHIDIAN ex-SHRIVEL), EVOKED ECLIPSE's sound is closely tied to the Scandinavian Black Metal and Death Metal scene, primarily Swedish, with references to DISSECTION, NAGLFAR, but also the melodic Death Metal of DARK TRANQUILLITY and OPETH and the melancholic Doom Gothic elements of early KATATONIA! The debut album of the band will feature eight tracks that move their misty sounds in fluid convolutions between gloomy atmospheres, violent musical passages and more melodic moments, with lyrics dealing with spiritualism, death, the afterlife and darkness. "The Cries Of Evil" was mastered by Jens Bogren at the world-famous Fascination Street Studios (Opeth, Katatonia, Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Sepultura, Kreator etc.). Its visual representation in its most arcane, dark and dramatic essence is the cover image realized by talented artist and graphic designer Gogo Melone.
