Neon Nights
Defcon have taken the pop punk genre and made it their own, formed in 2006 in Austria they have crafted their own brand of emotional and uplifting punk rock. Neon Nights is the bands first full-length bringing together all their experiences from the last few years. The new album has received great press over in Europe so far and the band is now looking to the UK to continue to roll with this success. The 6 piece uses the old double-vocal-attack to great effect with a combination of melodies and harsher vocal patterns to get their kicks. At times they sound like a more grown up New Found Glory and other times it treads into hardcore Refused style territory. There is always a hook to grab hold of, a guitar part to stir the soul, and enough variation to keep your interest throughout.
