Birdlegs
Vision Beyond The Ape Cave (burgundi Marble)
As if spilling right out of some portal from the past and smack into the middle of the 2020s, BIRDLEGS pairs Jade Puget (A.F.I.), Gary Gutfeld (CORDUROY), and Eric Ozenne (THE NERVE AGENTS), who came up together in Northern California's REDEMPTION 87 in the late 1990s, with Ryan Doria (OVEREXPOSURE) on bass, and unleash a barrage of frenzied and relevant new hardcore music into the fray. Jade Puget returns to the dark hardcore-punk guitar found on A.F.I.'s Black Sails In The Sunset, while vocalist Eric Ozenne's howls take us to a time when THE NERVE AGENTS were one of the best live bands of their generation. BIRDLEGS' aggressive offerings are showcased by bassist Ryan Doria and Gary Gutfeld's rhythmic pounding that serves to tether what feels like controlled chaos. BIRDLEGS is taking a swipe at the current unraveling state of affairs individually and collectively. There are questions to be asked of ourselves and BIRDLEGS has emerged with heart, urgency, and as a voice outside the status quo to ask such questions.
