Ashton, Gwyn

Grease Bucket

A new album packed with heavy riffs, driving grooves, and blazing solos from Australian guitar virtuoso Gwyn Ashton out now on CD via Fab Tone Records! Gwyn Ashton makes a powerful return to the blues rock world with Grease Bucket his first full-length electric power trio album since Radiogram (2012). Recorded and produced DIY-style in Adelaide, South Australia, the ten brand-new tracks were mixed and mastered together with Andy Kite at Against The Grain Studio. Ashton is joined by Chris Lambden (bass, Screaming Believers) and Paul Wheeler (drums, Icehouse), with guest appearances from Andrea Dawson adding soulful backing vocals and Jesse Deane-Freeman on organ. The result is a thrilling collection bursting with saturated riffs, tight grooves, and incandescent solos from opener Something That The Cat Dragged In through to high-energy blues rock that channels the spirit of the 60s and 70s while sounding fresh and contemporary.
