The Maharajas Appreciaion Society

To celebrate 30 years of The Maharajas, we invited 22 bands to choose a favourite song from the band's catalogue and record their own version. The Maharajas knew we were making a tribute record. What they didn't know was who was involved, which songs had been chosen, or what the finished record would look like. That part was a secret. Now the secret is out. The Maharajas Appreciation Society is a double LP bringing together 22 bands from across the international garage, punk, beat and rock'n'roll scene, each putting their own stamp on a Maharajas song. From well-known favourites to deeper cuts, the tracklist moves through three decades of The Maharajas' catalogue interpreted by 22 different bands, each with their own sound and approach.
