Souris Deglinguee, La
Paris 23.05.89
LA SOURIS DEGLINGUEE is one of the biggest names in French punk rock, and strangely enough, very few of their albums have been reissued over the decades. Yet, they are among the French bands with the most loyal fans: the famous Internationale Raya fan club! Because, yes, LA SOURIS has always managed to unite a very wide audience: punks, skinheads, rockers, rockabilly fans, and many more... In 1989, La Souris celebrated its 10th anniversary with a memorable show recorded at the Bataclan. This live album is a kind of best of their first six albums, featuring all the hits from the band's early and best period. Since this album is very hard to find, it was high time we took action. We've compiled 17 tracks here that reflect the band's energy on stage. Please note that the original vinyl master tapes and artwork have been lost, so this version is taken from the original CD. Purists will note that this new vinyl version is missing the track "Camarades," but in its place, the tracks "Jeunes Cons" and "Week-end Sauvage" have been added. The artwork has also been reworked using vintage photos by Oliver Claisse, and include lyrics in a superb gatefold sleeve. Finally, this reissue is also and above all a tribute to Taï Luc, who passed away in December 2023, and Jean Pierre, who recently passed away in September 2025.
