ARTFULLEE is an album born in the moment, with music that finds its natural form as it is being created. Giacomo Smith brought six original compositions to the studio, but without scores or written chord progressions. Instead, he taught the band the basic outlines by ear, giving as few instructions as possible and letting the musicians' mutual trust shape the session. "Everyone reacts immediately to what is happening," he explains.
