B.o.v. Dombe

"B.O.V. Dombe" was originally released in Argentina in 1978. It is very difficult to find in its original edition, making it a priceless collector's item. This is an album ahead of its time, which still retains its freshness and dynamism. B.O.V. Dombe is the debut album by the Argentine-Uruguayan rock band Raíces. The album was produced by Mario Breuer, who has worked with the most prominent names in Argentine and Latin American rock over the past fifty years. It also marked the debut of Andrés Calamaro, who was just 17 at the time, though his skill is especially evident in the instrumental tracks. The band was the brainchild of Uruguayan bassist, guitarist, percussionist, composer, and singer Luis Alberto "Beto" Satragni, a key figure in the development of the fusion between rock and candombe, and was formed in 1977. This reissue, which marks the launch of the Sometimes Music label, has been remastered by engineer Frank Merritt at The Carvery Studio (London) and comes with a triptych featuring photos and liner notes written by Argentine music critic Alfredo Rosso and by Andrés Calamaro.
