My Foolish Heart
MY FOOLISH HEART embodies my desire to make a record for voice and double bass, one of my favorite instruments. I thought of Peter Washington, a double bass player with whom I had already recorded an album, and after proposing it to him, he enthusiastically accepted. We thought about a color we wanted to give to the entire album, and the wonderful sound of Vincent Herring's saxophone came to mind, and he embraced our musical vision, so the album was born as a trio.
