Kevin K And The Bowery Kats
More
KEVIN K & THE BOWERY KATS RETURN WITH NEW ALBUM, MORE. For nearly five decades, Kevin K has been chasing the next great song. Since emerging from New York's original punk underground in the late 1970s, Kevin K has forged one of rock's most fiercely independent careers. Never interested in following fashion or industry expectations, he has built an international reputation one album, one tour, and one unforgettable song at a time. Through changing musical landscapes, personal triumphs and setbacks, and decades of relentless creativity, Kevin has remained true to the thing that matters most: The songs. MORE is exactly what its title promises. More melody. More guitars. More soul. More stories. More life. Recorded with South Carolina collaborators The Bowery Kats, featuring Garrick Turner (bass, vocals) and Karl Durden (drums), the album captures a band firing on every cylinder. MORE also features reimagined versions of songs Kevin originally recorded with his previous bands, Road Vultures and Lone Cowboys. These recordings carry special significance, with Kevin playing his late brother Alan's Fender Telecaster, giving the songs an even deeper personal resonance. Yet MORE is not an album focused on the past. Instead, it looks firmly forward. Kevin writes with the wisdom of someone who has lived every mile of the journey, while still performing with the hunger of the kid who first plugged a guitar into an amp on New York's Lower East Side. For longtime fans, MORE is an essential new chapter in one of underground rock's most enduring catalogues. For new listeners, there has never been a better place to start. This is not a nostalgia record. It is not a farewell. It is the sound of an artist who still has something to prove. And after nearly five decades, Kevin K proves it once again.
