The arctic fairy ELIN KAVEN with her new album ,Eamiritni - Rimeborn" via NORDIC NOTES. ELIN KAVEN takes you on a journey to Sapmi, the land where the folklore spirits and mysticism are a part of everyday life. She belongs to the Norwegian Sami people which are the nomad people north of the arctic circle. She holds the title of ,Sami artist of the year 2011" of Sapmi Music/Scene Finnmark, Norway who work with promoting a new Sami artist every year. ,Eamiritni - Rimeborn" is wild and delicate, a bit mythical without getting too sentimental, and perfectly combines the traditional Sapmi music with modern sounds.
