Like thousands of others, trying to be noticed, HIJINX, a four piece punk band from Schenectady, NY set out on a journey to define themselves as more than just a Local Band. Committed to finding bigger shows, label support and a wider audience, they find themselves struggling to hold the band together as they pay their dues and head back into the studio for one more chance at success.Filmed over the course of a year and a half, Local Band is a behind-the-scenes look at some of the insurmountable challenges up-and-coming musicians must face in order to weather the music industrys harsh realities.
