Stepford Smiles

The debut album from York Garage Punk outfit The Franceens. Stepford Smiles follows on from their successful self-released EP Dunk and Cover, which has received national radio play on the Radio One Punk Show. Their sound offers a refreshing blast of catchy garage punk, which has hints of 50s rock n roll and pop punk. You could make reference to the likes of The Hives or Randy, or perhaps The Computers, as well as the likes of The Briefs and The Queers. But the band clearly has their own sound too. The Franceens are also very active within the York DIY live scene, running Behind The White Door promotions.
