This album - originally a digital only release - caught the attention of the audience last year, and even entered quite a few "Best Album 2014" polls of various websites. GLASS APPLE BONZAIs sound is 100% pure retro/electro-pop in authentic 80s style and strongly influenced by the earlier works of DEPECHE MODE, OMD, THE HUMAN LEAGUE, ALPHAVILLE, VISAGE, CAMOUFLAGE, etc. But dont expect a blind copycat imitation: GAP instead offer their very own, elegant re-styling of that typical 80s feeling and this their debut stands out as a unique tribute to "the glorious golden eighties" - clearly written and recorded with a lot of love for the detail(s) and under strict adherence to the best traditions of the genre.
