BTMI! plays a blend of musical styles, but are anchored around ska and punk. They're often compared to bands such as THE BLUE MEANIES, FISHBONE, or BIG D AND THE KIDS TABLE, that blend a range of influences and experimental effects into their ska framework. Studio experimentation, synth-pop, and DC hardcore also pop up in the mix, and singer/songwriter Jeff Rosenstock claims influences from such bands as HARVEY DANGER and NEUTRAL MILK HOTEL as much as the standard ska/punk affairs.
