A fungus is young, comes from Amsterdam and makes interesting indie rock that leans on the exciting underground from the 90s. A fungus sounds more modest on their debut LP 'It already does that' than the related Black Midi, but they hit just as well as the bands Slint, Karate and Drive Like Jehu did at the time. Or as the band puts it: a fungus makes noisy teen-rock without clear direction.
