Sad Neutrino Bitches (SNB) come from Jena/Germany and play Garage Punk / Trash. The band is known for the very high voice of the male singer called Highestvoiceonearth, their trippy shows and the fast songs. "SQUAW" is their 2nd LP after they released the split 12" "Too sad to fuck" together with "Paul Harbour" on Superkamiokande Rec. in 2006. The record (limited on 300 pcs.) looks phantastic. It comes with a copper cover, a very good looking inlay and a feather. Right, a feather! Nice. SNB play trashy, frantic, treble-prone Garage Punk. They are influenced by great American Garage-Punkbands like Gories, Oblivians, JSBX, all the Crypt Records stuff and many Punk- and Oldschool-Harcorebands. But they have their very own, very weird style. The songs are about being ugly, being pissed, being not clever or being a misfit. Best songs of the album are "Born in prison", "Descent" and "Stoner Suckers". SNB already performed 120 gigs all over Central Europe. The band still exists (since 2000). Very good, very authentic record!

After years of playing music together in Detroit, Matt Menovcik (guitar, vocals) and Lesli Wood (piano, vocals) moved to Seattle and founded Saeta. This is their fourth album recorded and mixed by Steve Albini at his Chicago studio, Electrical Audio. The songs are dramatic, subtle and intimate odes to the darker sides of human emotion and have essential acoustic elements like piano, guitar and cello. Menovcik's lyrical and vocal baritones stir a cold ocean lit up by Wood's voice.

Conceptual debut album of this italian sound researcher - for fans of FENNESZ, MURCOF, MAX RICHTER, ARVO PART, etc. With SaffronKeira, Eugenio Cara lives out his passion of being a researcher of the possibility of expression offered by currently available technology. Indeed, in his tracks he experiments a lot with electronics and unconventional elements, which sometimes seem meaningless at first sight, but uncover their significance only on a closer examination. Combining subtle and sometimes even almost invisible rhythms with textures of sound he confidently moves between minimalistic pieces and classic ambient tracks which should please both the analytic ears and the listeners who just want to dive into the music. Often, SaffronKeira's tracks start off rather abstracly, slowling building up an eerie atmosphere with myriads of sound bits, before finally a reduced piano clears up the picture and takes the listener by storm. A highlight of this album is the last song, "Endless agony of being sick", where space-filling melodies, hollow drums and minimal female vocals are combined into something which can be simply called "epic" without doubt.Conceptually, "A New Life" is split in two complementary halves termed "Old Life" and "New Life". This concept is extended by the artwork, which is kept purely in black and white and easily manages to complement SaffronKeira's sound works in a pictorial fashion. "A New Life" will be released as a double Cd containing both "Old Life" and "New Life" and two double vinyl albums, containing "Old Life" and "New Life" separately.
