Bi Kudude has stirred up the world of taarab like nobody else. The Bone Idles, hailing from Karlsruhe/Germany, and their Norwegian friends Dangerman release their new split album with 11 new songs in total. The CD version has four bonus tracks, that only appeared on a limited 7" single before: Bone Idles cover ,Disiplin" (Svart Framtid) and ,Tough guy" (Beastie Boys), Dangerman ,Letter From An Occupant" (New Pornographers) und ,Nobody's Diary" (Yazoo). The Bone Idles still play old school hardcore and Gunnar's voice (ex So Much Hate) is still rough and powerful. Dangerman, with members of Life But How To Live It?, So Much Hate and Drunk, play fast forward punk rock with some hardcore influences and snotty vocals.

Jennifer Byrne was born in Dublin, raised for a time in County Wicklow before crossing the border into County Wexford. Her debut album contains guest appearances by the cream of the current folk and acoustic scene, including Kris Drever (Lau, Kate Rusby, BBC Folk Awards winner), John McCusker (Kate Rusby, Mark Knopfler, BBC Folk Awards winner), Roy Dodds, Boo Hewerdine (who also produced) and Brooks Williams.Suitcase is an eleven-track album of songs new and traditional. The title track refers to the cardboard suitcases young Irish immigrant men used to carry their humble belongings to the UK during the 1950s and 60s only to become something of a lost generation.
