The Ettes will be touring North America extensively from Aug 09 through Feb 10. Producers for the album are the legendary Greg Cartwright and Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The Ettes music has been heavily placed on film and TV including The Hills, Entourage and Drew Barrymores directorial debut Whip It. The Ettes single "No Home" is currently being spun in the UK by BBC and NME Radio.

If you havent heard French Miami yet, enjoy your last few minutes of peace. Once their songs get inside your head, they start a permanent loop and you will wake up and go to bed singing along. The only way out of this musical addiction is sleep deprivation.The first pressing of this mind-bending album saw daylight on a start-up label with a modest PR effort. Even with this minimalist approach to the press, French Miami stillattracted considerable attention from UK tastemakers NME and the BBC, a stateside nod from Rolling Stone, and a lengthy three-month hold on the CMJ Top-Fifty in late 2008. Originally put to tape by Phil Manley (Trans Am, Fucking Champs), French Miami has been remastered for release on Take Root Records.

If there is such a thing as a "San Francisco sound," Minipop doesnt care about it. Perhaps thats what has allowed the local quartet to create a brand of starry-eyed pop that feels ethereal, uprooted from time and space. Over the past year, the group has signed to Take Root Records, released their eponymous debut album, and watched the video for the single "Like I Do" viewed more than 700,000 times on YouTube. During thattime, Minipop embarked upon two national tours, played with such high-profile bands as Stellastarr*, Film School, and Cursive, and made their second appearance at SXSW. The ensemble also scored press in auspicious magazines like Nylon, Spin, Under the Radar, and Alternative Press, and were featured on such Internet sites as Yahoo Music, Amazon, and Rhapsody.
