Between 1995 and 1997 Lake Of Dracula forged a singular approach to dissonant, minimalistic rock music pre-dating both the neo-"no wave" nostalgia trip (popularized by bands like Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Liars) and the current noise rock insurgence (led by Lightning Bolt and Wolf Eyes) by years. Skeletal Remains is a compilation of unreleased and rare tracks from 1995-1997. Originally released on CD by Savage Land in 2006, this is the LP reissue. "Skeletal Remains" collects previously unreleased material and rare compilation and single tracks.

Torturing Nurse(China)-armed with turntable, voice, and guitar-creates a mobius strip of crashing, clanging, shrieking, and feedback-laden hysteria. Although there are some moments when the entropy subsides, if you think youre going to catch your breath a bit youre really only kidding yourself. The Vertonen side presents documentation (electronics on the fritz); deconstruction (a thick drone built on extremely modified "mementos" of the often inevitable failure of ill-planned "social revolution"); and destruction (noise shrapnel peppered with rhythmic bursts; a cleansing bath of acid and a belt sander). The release is in a limited edition of 100 numbered copies.
