Heavy psychedelic folk from the depths of Hamlet Town. A Tree of Night is Bo Hill's hiding place, where he goes to play his extraordinary cosmically floating homemade songs, that sneak into your subconscious through spirals of electric echo-slide fuzzguitars, spanish chords, floating organ and a sparse but solid rhythm section sailing on an electronic carpet of scratchy soundcollages and crumbs of long forgotten trips. The droning voice and lonesome harp of Bo Hill will take you on a journey to a strange and stony world where downerfolk is king and you balance between heavenly ecstasy end endless panic. Bo Hill is a self-taught musician, who has played drums, guitar and sung for different bands in the Elsinore underground since the beginning of the 90's. Now he's finally, due to his release on Orpheus Records, on his way to international non-stardom.

Unissued tapes of acoustic folk psych from start 70s hippie environment. Moody acid-music with violin, flute, piano, congas, vibraphone, acoustic bass, guitars and drums creating a flowing and dreamy feel. Inspired by Neil Young, Bob Dylan and Ritchie Havens but with a far more experimental side to it. Transgressing jazz and artrock and incorporating Blues and poetry the band shows a broad variety in their selfpenned songs and generel musical approach. Recorded live at a castle in Odense at various sessions between 1972 and 1975. All songs written by Kjeld Andersen, a prime specimen of the Danish singer/songwriter sadly overlooked in his time. De Sydfynske Alpedrenge came out the youthclub "Cirklen" in Odense and was an important part of the underground scene there.

Side 1 present recording from 1986 by Bob and his old backing band from the LP 'Iron Curtain Innocence' from 1980. 6 years on and the music is still as dark and lonely as ever, desperate songs drenched in a strange 'dreamies' atmosphere and pierced by Bob's scarry vocals. Side 2 has Bob and the 'Crippled Dog Band' recorded in 1983. Fuzzguitar with phazer and more punky attitude. if you dig his highly collectable albums 'Iron Curtain innocence' and 'Harvest Of Dreams', then this one is a must-have!! (Orpheus).
