Motociclon doesnt sing in Spanish. Neither in English, or any other barbaric language. They sing in the slang they use in their neighbourhood, that nobody knows what the fuck it is. They talk about their slum, and its not any slum. Its a suburb punished with the dismantling of industry, the abuse of heroin, the street gangs, and the early morning tv shows... Its the kind of slum that forges real men, with strong values. As you can listen in "Bocachanclas" they sing to that treacherous coward, son of a nun. "Policia del Rock" " Rock police" to those , knowitall, academician crossover sellouts of popular culture. In their hood you are a man or a pussy, you speak hiting your bare chest with an open hand. God damned! And if you dont you get slashed with a Flying V Gibson. If you want to be sybaritic, Motociclon reminds us of Motorhead, the Plasmatics or a lot of spanish underground bands from the 80s. The thing is they add a very special touch of the New wave of British Heavy Metal, brought to you trough the fingers of Thrash, that unique lead guitar, with riffs and solos not in the hand of many guitar players. "Himnos de extrarradio" or "Anthems for the Slums", is what it is, songs to bear inside, songs to sing when the sun lightens up all the dunghills and dumps, proud to be a rake.

It was 1979, while the argentine dictatorship, when Ricardo Iorio and Ricardo Moreno decided to start a band called Comunion Humana, oriented to heavy and rock sound. Two months later some tracks were arranged and Gerardo Osemberg joinedem as drummer. They had some names such as Hydra, Bloke or RGR but finally V8 was taken as monicker for the band, inspired by the engines and also for the speed, energy and intensity the band showed on their new songs. Los Violadores (The Rapists) were formed after Los Testiculos stopped to play, a seminal band from the argentinen punk scene. Stuka on bass and voice, Harry B on guitar and Sergio Gramatica on drums was the first line-up. During 1980 they started to play live shows in small and selected clubs and people started to pay attention on these rude boys playing chaotic music. In several gigs the police arrived to cancel the show with their guns on hands, the political situation was extremely hard due to the dictatorship. Also due to the existing censorship they used the term Los Voladores (The Rockets) in some of their first gigs. After lots of horrible bootlegs, Beat Generation is proud to announce the first official ever re-release of this classic album, with same artwork and insert trying to capture the essence.
