Recorded live at the infamous Dark Lord Day Festival at Three Floyds Brewing (one of the best breweries in the world) in Munster, Indiana. 700 on limited pink vinyl with gatefold & poster. Christened by PUNKnews as "Born Against covering Black Sabbath," Sweet Cobra is the sound of friends scuffing up their hardcore roots with classic rock grit and classic metal fury. Parallels can be drawn to Torche's rapturous hooks, High On fire's hellbound riffing, and Young Widow's stomping rhythms, but Sweet Cobra has always rocked with it's own unique voice, & anthemic songs that are equally pummeling and trance-inducing. Founded in Chicago in 2002, Sweet Cobra has toured with Russian Circles, Pelican, Black Cobra, and Young Widows.

Finally on vinyl! Think of an unholy amalgamation of Cursed, Leviathan-era MASTODON, and Tragedy and you are on the right track. In 2009 Sweet Cobra entered Volume Studio in Chicago with producer Sanford Parker (Pelican,Nachtmystium) to record it's third full length: Mercy. Mercy is a masterpiece of urgent, hoonest aggression, channeled into unforgettable songs. Mixed by Jurt Ballou (Converge, Trap Them) at Godcity studio and mastered by Carl Saff (Coliseum, White Drugs). In Fall, 2009, with the Mercy album just completed, guitarist Mat Arluck lost his ongoing fight with cancer. Sweet Cobra committed to soldier on as a three-piece as they began.With Mercy finally being released on vinyl, Hawthorne Street sees this as a symbol of Sweet Cobra's perserverance and a loving tribute to Mat Arluck.
