Beat We Records keeps on releasing the series dedicated to the wonderful scores composed by Francesco de Masi for Italian westerns of the 60s. With this fifth volume we offer the complete score of ALLA CONQUISTA DELL'ARKANSAS (1964), one of the first western produced in Italy. A soundtrack in the American style, with orchestra and great themes. Quality of the sound is not at the usual standards, unfortunately, since the original master tapes was not in excellent conditions (after 47 years!). Anyway, after the usual restore the beauty of the music convinced us in releasing that CD the same in order to allow everybody to listen to the wonderful soundtrack composed by the Maestro!In jewel box with an 8 pages booklet, original artwork and liner notes by Filippo de Masi, son of the Maestro. An absolute cult score, one of the most sought by the fan of the composer and lovers of western music, ARIZONA COLT (1966, aka Il pistolero di Arizona), directed by Michele Lupo with Giuliano Gemma, Fernando Sancho, Corinne Marchand. A soundtrack that could be easily defined one of the best ever composed by Francesco de Masi now is available in full STEREO (the original album selection) and with plenty of bonus tracks in a very good MONO. A very careful restoration by one of Beat Records most skilled collaborator, Claudio Fuiano, could pone remedy to the cranking problems that were present in all the tracks included in the original selection of the album, pay exception for two tracks that could not be restored. The result is a CD of 31 (!!!) tracks for more than one hour of great music, composed by a fully inspired Italian Maestro! You cant say you know Francesco de Masi at full if you dont own a copy of that score! a movie directed in 1970 by Michele Lupo that starred the great Gastone Moschin as a busy policeman looking for a mysterious assassin. The score composed by the Maestro is intense and provides excellent support to the movie. A symphonic score performed by a great orchestra, it is accomplished through gorgeous sounds and keen intuition, starting with the main titles in which we hear some gunshots mimicked by the music. A meeting between the Maestro and the Director that for all the duration of their collaboration gave great artistic results, a joint venture that ended right in this occasion. The incomplete soundtrack was previously released by CAM, but thanks to our collaboration with the historical label we were able to present all the music that was composed for the movie, from the original master tapes, for more than 70 minutes of great compositions by the popular Roman composerThe CD is a limited edition of 500 copies and comes in a jewel case with a 12-page booklet.
