The Canadian Punk/Hardcore band Propagandhi was founded back in 1986 by Chris Hannah and Jordan Samolesky, who were soon joined by bassist John K. Samson (later of Weakerthans fame). Up until 2005 they released four albums on Fat Wreck Chords. Being celebrated for their combination of melodic hardcore with straight forward radical left-wing lyrics, the group found fans all over the world. Then the band called it quits for some time to concentrate on humanitarean work and on their own record label, G7 Welcoming Committee Records. So it certainly came as a surprise to the band to win the prestigious Canadian Echo award for their last album, "Potemkin City Limits". Back in action after the long break, Propagandhi return with their fifth album, "Supporting Caste", back in form and paying musical tribute to their Canadian heroes Voivod, Rush, NoMeansNo, SNFU, Sacrifice, Razor and Guilt Parade. The vinyl version of the album is exclusively available for Europe from the Grand Hotel Van Cleef label.
